Nuenen & the potato eaters 1 day tour (1-2 night B&B)

Cycle along beautiful Dutch canals and via café’s to Nuenen where Van Gogh lived for almost two years 1883-85 and where he created his famous potato eaters painting.
This tour takes in the local sites including the museum, Vincent’s life in Nuenen, his paintings and in particular the background to the potato eaters. You will visit the places he lived and painted and hear the stories.
Enjoy lunch at the potato eaters chip shop. Total cycling on flat terrain 25-30km. Timing 0900-1700. Alternatively a car can be used.

Van Gogh Breaks Tour

Prices from 140 euro pp per day for adults, including city tax. Children under 18 have a a 50% discount. Please contact us for more details. (For example for a second night B&B only add on 30 euro pp)
Another option would be to visit the famous Starry Starry night cycle path near Nuenen.

Note a second night would allow you to make a trip by yourselves to the Van Gogh or Kroller- Mueller museums by train and taxi on the second day. We could also provide transport for this at additional cost on request.

Nuenen, Zundert & Etten Leur 2 days tour (2-3 nights B&B)

Day 1  Nuenen Tour as described in the one day tour – Choice of cycle or car
Day 2  By car. In the morning you will be driven to Zundert (about an hour) which is where Vincent van Gogh was born. Here you would visit the site of his birth (now a local museum) the local church where his namesake brother Vincent is buried and walk around the area he grew up in with his brothers and sisters.
After lunch you will visit nearby Etten Leur (About 20 mins drive from Zundert) where Vincent learned to paint.

Another option would be to visit the famous starry Starry night cycle path near Nuenen. 

Note we form a good base for visiting by yourselves the Van Gogh museum in Amsterdam or the Kroller-Mueller museum to see a fine collection of original Van Gogh paintings including an early version of the potato eaters.

The weekend option

Friday Arrive afternoon/evening – Collection airport / station
B&B – evening Eindhoven if req
Saturday – Dep cycling tour 0900 or car tour 0930
Return B&B 16.00-1700. (If one day only drop of at station/airport 17.00) (or stay one more night and drop off 09.00 Day 3) Evening advice on where to go for food etc and time if required for ‘Starry Starry night’ cycle path ride at dusk. 
Sunday dep 0930 by car – Zundert Etten Leur – drop off airport / station 17.00 onwards if required.

Mid week option

Very similar, note museums do shut on Monday – a long weekend is better Thurs – Sun than Friday to Monday!
